| (2003-09-02) There I am here. Been here for about five days so far... it's hot (abour 29-35+ degrees every day). It's humid- the air is hard to breathe most of the time... The sunsets are amazing. The food, not so much. Right now, a bunch of us volunteers are staying at a hotel and going through a week of in-country training. I am excited to get into my house- mainly so that I can start cooking for myself... I hate eggplant and peppers, so it's a bit hard for me. I have a bladder infection, which been the main problem since being here. Constantly needing to pee is difficult when you are trying to sleep. Also, peeing blood makes you nervous. I'm fairly happy... I go through stages where I'm miserable, and then very satisfied to be here... as I'm sure anyone in my situation would. |
