(2003-11-18) Tanji

|last| |next|

This weekend, some friends and I went away to Tanji.

These are my friends and I.

A day trip to a local nature reserve. We were supposed to see lots of animals. We didn't even see birds. I did, however, see something moving in the bushes that I tried to convince everyone was a monkey. They, in turn, tried to convince me that it was a Lariam hallucination.

We threw Litchees off a tree into the bushes (well, tried to, anyway... I proved that I actually am a - by throwing like a ) to try to scare some animals out. Nothing moved. We put some pita bread on the ground in front of us, hoping that some animals would be attracted to its deliciousness, but nothing came out.

We sat silently under our litchee tree, but nothing moved.

It wasn't a very good nature reserve. But it sure was pretty. It had cliffs near the ocean- which we're not used to seeing. This country is very, VERY flat. The greenish blue ocean water mixed with the red rocks to form some some very contrasting colours.

There were trees of all shapes and sizes and flat landscapes. It was very, very beautiful.

Friends! Lein, Jesper, Geoff, and myself.
